Mpumelelo Paul Grootboom

Born 1975 in Meadowlands/Soweto, South Africa.

Author, director, filmmaker and actor, artist in charge of the development programme of the South African State Theatre.

In 1997, Mpumelelo Paul Grootboom was engaged by the North West Arts Council (today “Mmabana Foundation”) as a writer in residence, in 2005 he won the National Standard Bank Award as best new artist.

As a director he staged a.o Urban Reality (1998), Dikeledi (2000), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Shakespeare – 2001), King Lear (Shakespeare – 2002), Cards (2002 and 2004), Hamlet (Shakespeare – 2003), Julius Caesar (Shakespeare – 2003), Relativity: Township Stories (Wiener Festwochen, Edinburgh Festival 2006, Adelaide Festival, Zürcher Theater Spektakel, Hebbel am Ufer/Berlin 2008), Telling Stories (Kunsten Festival des Arts/Belgium 2007) and Interracial (premiere at Grahamstown Festival 2007, Wiener Festwochen 2008).
Presently, Mpumelelo Paul Grootboom is a permanent director at the South African State Theatre in Pretoria.

peter fuxx

Born 1963 in Vienna.

Drama studies at the drama school of the Wiener Volkstheater
Director, producer (dance, theatre, video, film, installations...), visual artist and actor.

Vanja Fuchs

Born 1969 in Slovenia, living in Vienna.

Stage manager, assistant producer, producer and dramaturge for various theatres, both musical and drama.

Two years of occupation as a foreign correspondent and theatre critic for Slovenian media
Dramaturge for pink zebra theatre since 2002.

Jörg Ulrich Krah

Born 1976 in Munich, living in Vienna.

Worldwide activities as a cellist, composer and educator in Montreal, Al Ain (United Arab Emirates), Shanghai et al.

Performances as a soloist and chamber musician in the course of festivals such as Wien Modern or Europäisches Musikfest Stuttgart with musicians such as Ildiko Raimondi, Jean-Marie Londeix or Helmuth Rilling.

Cooperation with various ensembles such as On_Line, Koehne-Quartett or Wiener Kammerorchester.

Since 2003 member of the orchestra of Burgtheater / Wien and the baroque ensemble Musica Divina.

His works as a composer contain pieces of almost any genre from solo works to the biggest orchestra pieces, furthermore numerous theatre scores for Barrie Kosky at Schauspielhaus / Vienna et al.

He won several awards at the Linzer Podium / Austria, the soloists' contest of Musica Antiqua Bruges / Belgium et al.

Nicole Delle Karth

Producer, Cultural manager, dramaturge and director, Founder of the theatre company Schauspiegel.

Part of the leading team of the Shakespeare Festspiele Rosenburg / Austria for two years
Involved in the development of the Mma Courage project since 2007 Living and working in Vienna.

pink zebra theatre

The international theatre and performance label pink zebra theatre was founded in 1997 by peter fuxx. Diversity in languages and forms of expression from different civilisations and genres has always been an important component of its artistic work. The core team of pink zebra theatre are peter fuxx (artistic director) and Vanja Fuchs (dramaturgy).
